A Heavy Duty Basketball Post Built for Outdoor Play
Our Freestanding Basketball Post is built for playgrounds, parks and MUGAs, and made to take years of outdoor play in all weathers.
The 168.3mm heavy-duty post carries a 12mm compact laminate backboard that is hardwearing, water resistant and impact resistant. The ring is set at the regulation 3.05m height. Its three-ring hoop with chains stands up to hard use where standard nets won't last.
Every post is designed and made in Sheffield, hot dip galvanised and powder coated, and secured with stainless steel security fixings behind vandal-resistant covers. Pick any standard RAL colour to match your site.
Install it as a standalone post or build it straight into a Lightmain MUGA fenceline. We design, manufacture and install.
- Steel: circular hollow section tube, with 6–8mm laser-cut, noise-absorbing steel sheet profiles
- Backboard: 12mm compact grade Formica laminate (hardwearing, water resistant and impact resistant)

- Finish: hot dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461 by an ISO 9001 certified galvaniser, then powder coated to BS EN 13438:2013 in any standard RAL colour

Built to last, not to be replaced. Hot dip galvanising protects the steel for decades, which cuts maintenance and replacement over the product’s life. The steel is fully recyclable at end of life, and every post is designed and made in Sheffield, which keeps supply chains short and quality control in the UK.
