Testimonial

“I am just writing this letter to say a massive thank you for the skatepark on Burgoyne Park, it is brilliant. When I was younger at the age of 13, I requested to have the skatepark built for skateboarding and scootering in my village and it has been built fantastically, all how we wanted it to be when we were younger. And, now that I am 22, It’s still going to get me back on my skateboard and to shred the ramps with the local old mates! Just want to say a again a massive thank you for the build, you have done a brilliant job getting this sorted!”

Project Overview

The Aston Skate Park and Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at Burgoyne park was a fantastic, community-driven project designed to enhance the recreational facilities for the local community. With a funding grant of £100,000 from the FCC Communities Foundation, the project focused on creating a state-of-the-art skate park and a versatile MUGA.

Client Consultation

Aston Parish Council facilitated consultation with young people in the local area, allowing them to actively participate in the design process. This ensured that the skate park incorporated features that they were passionate about, such as a flat rail, bowl, half pipe, and mini ramp, resulting in a bespoke facility tailored to their requirements.

Lightmain’s Role

Lightmain worked closely with the council to bring this idea to life. We supplied and installed both the skate park and the MUGA, ensuring that the designs reflected the input received and adhered to high standards of safety and quality.

The Outcome

Completed in October 2023, the skate park and MUGA have become a vibrant space for the local community. A letter was even received from one local, Callium, who wanted to express his gratitude at the new facilities.

We pride ourselves on offering tailored, community-focused solutions that meet your requirements and fit your budget. Contact us to find out more.
