Large Multi-Play System

The IM402 is a multi-platform intermediate climbing frame system designed for busy primary school playgrounds and public play sites that need a higher-capacity structure. A 4.58m x 3.58m footprint links two raised decks at 0.9m and 1.175m via a central curved bridge, supporting multiple children on the frame at once.

Climbing routes include two inclined ladders, a cargo net climber, vertical-bar climbing panels and steel stepped access. The central bridge carries decorative panels with butterfly and leaf cutouts, and one platform includes a face panel. A one-piece pressed stainless steel slide handles the main descent.

Manufactured in-house at our Yorkshire facility, the IM402 is a UK-made steel climbing frame built from heavy-gauge powder-coated tube with fully welded components and tamper-resistant Torx security fixings. It is certified to BS EN1176, supplied in your choice of powder-coat colour as flagship playground equipment for schools.

Yes. Our climbing frames are designed and tested for commercial school playground use to BS EN1176. They are manufactured from heavy-gauge steel with fully welded construction and tamper-resistant security fixings, built to stand up to high-traffic primary school playground use over many years. Custom powder-coat colours let you match your school branding.
For most schools, the most cost-effective outdoor play equipment is a single multi-play playground climbing frame as the focal point of the playground, supplemented by separate agility, swing and free-play items. For EYFS and nursery use, our Toddler Playground Climbing Frame range offers age-appropriate equivalents. All our outdoor play equipment is UK-made and compliant with BS EN1176.
With routine inspection and maintenance to BS EN1176-7 standards, a properly specified commercial playground climbing frame should support many years of heavy daily use. The key factors are gauge of steel, welded joint quality, fixing security and the protective finish system. Our climbing frames are highly-engineered on each of these points, built for long-life use in schools, nurseries and public parks.
The IM402 itself measures 4.58m x 3.58m x 2.67m. You should allow a minimum installation footprint of 7.58m x 6.58m to accommodate the surrounding safety zone, plus access room for children to queue and enter the frame safely.
The IM402 features twin deck heights of 0.9m and 1.175m, a one-piece pressed stainless steel slide for the main descent, and a heavy-duty steel frame with tamper-resistant Torx fixings throughout. Powder-coat colour is fully customisable.
