Testimonial

“We were delighted to have worked on this project. It is great to see the fresh new ideas of the students come to life and to be able to be a part of it. Creating welcoming and inclusive social spaces is incredibly important and it’s exciting to see what the future of these spaces looks like.”

Will Moroney, Managing Director at Lightmain Ltd

When Doncaster Council approached us to see if we could help with the manufacture and installation of an “Make Space for Girls” inspired seating area, we were delighted to help.

As part of the work the council is doing around future parks, they have been collaborating with the Doncaster College art department to explore parks, open spaces and how they would like to use them. Due to their age, they have moved away from the typical play areas and begun to think about more social seating areas.

The students, using inspiration from the Make Space for Girls movement, designed a colourful and inclusive seating space. It was so well received, the council wanted to make one of the designs a reality.

With just a concept to go on, we were thrilled to be able to help with the manufacture and installation of the fencing for this space, which surrounds stone seating.

As you can see from the images, the end product looks fantastic and is very accurate compared to the concept images we received. Here at Lightmain we are happy to work with you at any stage of the project, from concept through to the install. We can create custom and bespoke options to suit your specific project or product needs.
