Lightmain has appointed two new full-time staff members, with a third on the way, as it strengthens its team, with a view to positioning the company for an exciting period of growth.

Initially appointed as Commercial Director, Will Moroney joined in January, to work alongside Philip Borrington, who had signalled his intention to reduce his commitments following 45 years in the Industry. From 1st July, Will’s role changed to that of Managing Director.

Having spent 17 years at the Henry Boot Group, Will’s background as a Management Surveyor, after studying Business and Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, was spent more in the commercial property market as opposed to the play industry. He also went on to achieve a Master’s in Property Investment and Finance from Nottingham Trent University.

“The opportunity to join an ambitious company, albeit in a completely different sector to that I was in previously, was too good to turn down. Having spent 6 months working alongside Phil, who has had the business on an incredibly sound footing over the last few years creates an exciting opportunity to now push it even further forward. With the current team around me, we will all play our part in the future successes.”

Operations Manager Joe, grew up locally in Dronfield. He studied Law at Lincoln University before attending Sheffield Hallam University where he studied for his Master’s in Construction Project Management. He brings 5 years of experience working in project management, also at Henry Boot.

“I’m excited to be a part of the direction that Lightmain is heading, while being supported by great people and an existing wealth of experience. I have relished learning as much as possible, while imputing aspects from my Project Management background. The variety of projects that we are involved in, is an aspect that I particularly enjoy about the company.”

Will and Joe make exciting new additions to the Lightmain team whose workforce continues to grow as the company invests in hiring qualified professionals. Their expertise will be integral in developing Lightmain both now and in the future.

In addition to these roles, Will has wasted no time in looking to appoint a Business Development Manager, who will be starting at the end of September. A key part of this role will be to focus on introducing to the market, the City Solar Smart bin – the latest in solar-powered waste compaction – as local authorities and other businesses look to minimise their carbon footprint as the UK maintains its strides towards Net Zero Carbon. This role will be key to getting us in front of new, and existing, customers; to promote the business and all it offers, as well as our sister companies under the Create Partnership brand.

Paul Collings, Owner and Managing Director of Lightmain concludes,

“I am delighted that Joe and Will have joined the Lightmain team. The expertise and knowledge that they bring will undoubtedly contribute to the companies continued and sustained growth. Welcome to the team!”
