A MUGA TO SUPPORT ALL STUDENTS
Epsom and Ewell High School is a 11-18 mixed Secondary School in Surrey and they were looking for a MUGA that could support in their drive to increase participation in sport and allow for a space to benefit all students.
By providing early-stage design guidance to the school in relation to the refurbishment of their old tarmac formal sports area Lightmain found that the school would highly benefit from a MUGA as the old sports area had deteriorated and offered minimal chance to be involved in various sports as it was made for Tennis
Lightmain improved the drainage, completely levelled the playing surface and laid a Generation 2, sand filledsynthetic turf playing surface.This also included replacing the surrounding fencing and pedestrian gates to create a substantial single football/hockey pitch with four separate cross-court, multi-sport facilities across the width with 5m wide goals.
